About
This is the course its builder wished existed: one free path that takes a complete beginner to a job-ready Go backend and support engineer, without years of study or debt.
How it teaches
You read a short explanation, run a failing test, write code until it passes, and submit. Concepts like Big O, the stack and the heap, queues, and concurrency are explained in plain language with everyday analogies, then practiced across hundreds of exercises.
Two tiers
Core covers the job-ready floor: Linux and shell, Go, data structures, concurrency, SQL, security basics, a production backend, incident triage, and working well with AI coding assistants. Advanced goes further into API design, caching and queues, CI/CD, cloud and Kubernetes, support craft, interview patterns, and building tool-using AI systems with guardrails.
What you build
Projects that grow in scale, from a command-line log analyzer to a production-style telemetry API with authentication, rate limiting, SQL transactions and full test coverage. Advanced ends with an AI-assisted triage assistant.
Two certificates
Finishing Core earns the Core Certificate and finishing Advanced earns the Advanced Certificate. Every certificate links to the public GitHub history behind it, so an employer can verify the work in minutes. They are certificates of completion, not accredited degrees.
Where it goes next
Go and backend engineering come first. Later tracks will cover C, assembly, operating systems and security.
